Factory Seconds & Oliva Angel 100

I have been meaning to try some of the Factory Seconds available on the market, and so when I saw an add for a 20-pk for $20.00 in my email box this morning, I was interested.  Factory Seconds are cigars that weren’t perfect enough to make the final cut by the manufacturer.  Even a slight blemish on the outside of the cigar could end up in having an otherwise perfect cigar thrown out of the Starting Line-Up and into the Factory Seconds Doug-out.  You can get Seconds from Padron, Punch, Partagas, Rocky Patel, etc…all at around 25% of the normal price.  In this case these Factory Seconds come from Honduras and may be from the Partagas and/or Macanudo Doug-Outs.

But what really pushed me over the edge was the free sampler pack included.  The Angel 100 Aniversary 5 cigar sampler got my taste buds watering.  50 inch ring gauge Nicaraguan Puro’s made from 100% Oliva Tobacco.  I have heard that with a little aging under their belt these cigars are a tasty powerhouse, and for free its quite a steal!

Superbowl Champion by Punch

It’s only Half Time, but did you see that 100 yard interception touchdown run by the Defensive Player of the Year where he landed in the end-zone on his head??? Can you say MVP??

It’s 17-7 at the half, and the Terrible Towels don’t look to be wiping tears anytime soon, but as they say on “any given Sunday” anything can happen!

So we can’t quite cut the cigars yet, but I got 3 Punch Champions in my pocket (quite appropriate for Superbowl Sunday, don’t ya think?) so I’m a winner either way. If you haven’t tried them yet, they are my absolute favorite Punch Cigars. They look a little funny, like little bowling pins, but they are nothing but ‘sweet spot’, and they might leave on your head in the end-zone too!
